Home Care Funding

How to pay for your in-home aged care services

GOVERNMENT FUNDED SERVICES

Home care services may be accessed through government-funded packages. These packages include different services depending on your needs and eligibility. To apply for a government-funded package, you need to get an assessment through My Aged Care. The two most popular programs are the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), which provides entry-level support for older Australians with lower care needs. While the Support at Home program offers coordinated, ongoing care for those who require more comprehensive assistance to continue living independently at home.

PRIVATE SERVICES

If you are not eligible for a government-funded package or if you’d like to start receiving services straight away, you can do so by booking services directly through Rest Home Care.

Private services may be suitable while you’re waiting to get government-funded services approved, if you don’t meet the eligibility requirements, or if you preferred not to get assessed.
